Fall

I fall for you without a care
in the world.

I drown,
no matter how loud the world.

Drip
clinging to you,
not afraid to fall.

My breath, steady,
shifting with ease.
I trace your skin, your lips,
becoming your bones,
discovering parts of you
that are rarely touched.

Drip
clinging, edging towards
what I consider the ultimate fall.

A heart that contracts and expands,
wrapping you in its embrace,
caught between the places
you didn’t think you could feel.

I am the rain
that cascades down and soothes you,
not afraid to crash into you,
to feel your presence
asking to be let in.

Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
