Walls

You’ll find me behind the wall I’ve built around myself. I want you here with me, behind these walls, But there is a line- One that hides the scars and bruises that went into building these walls. Looks can be very deceiving.
Don’t mistake the cold appearance
That it may give, I am not hiding any part of myself but instead hoping that you understand.
That each brick has purpose.

Not everyone is welcome. I want you here with me, there is a place for family, there is a place for friends, and there is a place especially carved out for you. If you understand that it’s not about the walls at all, It’s the ground I am standing on when the storm sweeps through that is most important. Most cracks can be smoothed out, but there is no room for uneven ground.
