When a Funk Legend Drops Inspiration and it turns into a Song

I got one of those surreal moments a few days ago. When I reached out, I was asking for inspiration and knowledge. Asking for advice on keeping the funk alive in my own way. The first bopper to come to mind was no other than Bootsy Collins. He didn’t just reply back, he didn’t just give a mention, or send a greeting. He turned a simple reply into funk itself. He came alive and sang it.

To have someone of his magnitude acknowledge your words and sends energy your way. It’s like a door opens. One that reminds you that no matter what happens, keep it simple baby. Keep God first, you have it in you.

I’m posting this tonight not to gloat or do anything self centered like that, but as a thank you to Bootsy, to everyone who reads, to everyone who listens. Sometimes the quietest sparks make the brightest fire.

Thank you again space man, keeping it dipped in love
